Hip Kit Club | Project Life 2016

Hi everyone!!
Happy New year!!! :)
Yay! It's time for a new start in my Project life album! I really love to start with a page that sets intentions and that shows our family right now. I used the Hip Kit Club December 2015 PL KitDecember 2015 Embellishment kitDecember 2015 Paper kit and  December 2015 Main scrapbook kit for this first page.

Here are some close up shots:

I used the 4x6 2016 card designed by Kim Watson for Hip Kit Club and added the together transparency, some gold stitching and a very sparkly golden heart! I just love these colors so much!!!

For me, a family photo just deserve a spot on a first page. :) This is our last one from 2015. I mounted it on a transparency cut to 4x6 and I added a tag to which I attached some thread. the 3 little dash of gold just add sparkle and bring the viewer's attention to that love you heart. I also added a beautiful yellow flair with the ampersand which represent the idea of all of us being together.

I had fun in he 3x4 pockets!! That first one only holds a tag and a glittery butterfly. Since the butterfly is sticky, it holds the tag in place. I added a red and white string to the tag. In the second pocket I added the Love transparency that I cut in two. It fits perfectly!! I also punched out some dots from the large transparency in the Paper kit and used them as confetti. The glitter and the pop of color is just perfect!

A little card stating what I'd like 2016 to bring for us. I colored the diamond with my pink shimmer that came in the December 2015 Color Kit. And in the next pocket again I played with transparency. I used a 3x4 transparent card that i have cut from my big sheet and I added the glittery gold Love life.

I added a photo of my daughters and I that i embellished with a small tag, golden thread and a golden heart with some gold stitching. And I finished my page with a picture of my husband and I.
I so love to see everyone's opening pages! :) I hope this one could inspire you to try something different.
Again, I wish you a very Happy New Year!!!

What a better day to show you some pages from my December Daily album that I made with the Citrus Twist Kits December Daily Kit.

You've seen snippets of these pages when I showed you the digital files but now let me show you the full pages and details! :)

I placed the little dear head over the page protector. This way I can pull the card up to have a better look at what my daughter wrote.

Pretty Little Studio - December Daily

Marie_header
Hey everyone! Marie here with some pages from my December Daily album.
I can say it loud and clear: Merry And Bright is my favorite Christmas/winter collection out there this year! It is so easy to work with. There are many journaling cards with space to write on, the colors are all so gorgeous and happy and bright, the die cuts are fun and fresh, the labels are awesome to add little details here and there, ... I truly enjoyed working with these products in my December Daily album!
Here is my day 4.
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
It consists of one double page spread + one insert in-between. For the insert I used a page protector with 4 3x4 pockets and I cut it with my scissors. I love the look of layers. This is a good way to achieve this looks not only within the pockets but in the whole album itself.

This is when the insert is flipped.

And this is the back of my double-spread layout.
Here are some detail shots and explanations:
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
We have an Elf at home. She's called Harmony and she's a writer! She makes the kids do things, and she makes them stop doing things too, and the way she communicates with the girls is by writing. So what I did is I showed her where my stash of journaling cards are. Very practical to then just tell the kids: do you give me the card? I'll put it in the album. :) I like to used the Pretty Little Studio cards because they have space to write on them!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAlong with labels, Die cuts will have to be my favorite products from Pretty Little Studio. They are so unique! The little Santas remind me of my sticker collection when I was young. Very small die cuts are perfect to use in a cluster with flairs and other small embellishments. Bigger die cuts are perfect to make a statement. Don't be afraid to let one stand on it's own. They are gorgeous!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHere I used the big empty space on the journaling card to add a large gold foiled label. Perfect to add a touch of journaling on a white background.

With that upper pocket I created a shaker pocket. I simply added sequins in pinks, red and gold and I closes the top of the pocket with my fuse tool. (Small tip when using the Fuse: plug it and let it warm up for at least 15 minutes.)

The long labels are perfect when you have little details of the stories to add. Dress them up by simply adding a small sticker. :)
Here's just a small glimpse in my album. If you need/want more inspiration for your December Daily album, I invite you to come over to my blog where I have many photos and tips.
Merry Christmas!!
